Montipora Setosa
The Montipora Setosa is an unusual encrusting montipora species which has a smooth, almost shiny appearance, and a bumpy growth pattern. Its colouration is orangey red and has polyps of a matching colour.
It is an SPS coral (small polyp stony) which is one of the more delicate montipora species and can be reasonably slow growing.
This coral needs good lighting and moderate flow to maintain optimum health.
In addition to this, it will also require the correct levels of Calcium, Alkalinity, and Magnesium along with various other trace elements found in natural seawater.
Additional feeding isn't required to maintain its health however it will feed on micro-plankton and very fine coral foods.
This SPS coral requires good reef conditions to show it`s full potential.
